North Captiva Island is another island community accessible only by boat. The peaceful barrier island includes a wildlife sanctuary and miles of white sand beaches. Captiva Island is widely regarded as having one of the best beaches in the world.

To experience total tranquility and untouched nature, consider a private kayak tour of surroundings mangroves and hidden back bays. You will see an abundance of birds including bald eagles, ospreys, herons, egrets, pelicans, and more.

Cabbage Key is a true "Old Florida" island hideaway. The main house which is now the inn and restaurant, was built in 1938 by playwright and novelist Mary Roberts Rinehart. Cabbage Key offers a short nature trail and a water tower on which you can climb to the top for some fantastic snapshots.
